Dublin and Fiona Australian Cattle Dog / Blue Heeler Hillsdale, NY

These two amazing, purebred, Aussie siblings are looking for their forever together. They are a 18 months old. They were bought from a breeder at 8 weeks old and enjoyed their life together up until 3 months ago. Their two legged parents are going through a difficult time and they found themselves caught in the middle and sadly that lead to them being tied to trees in the backyard for 3 months. They were fed "when he felt like it" and were kept just far enough apart to not be able to touch. Yes that's good so they didn't get tangled and hurt however, this was the first time in their lives that they weren't able to play, fight, and cuddle. The day they arrived (one month ago) they were in separate crates on the back of a pickup truck. Beautiful, sweet Fiona, was taken out first and totally shut down. Scared and unsure she just froze. We took out Dublin, the handsome, outgoing boy, and right away they were all over each other. Playing, smiling, whining, they couldn't get enough of each other. At that point Fiona would have went anywhere with us as long as her best friend and brother was going too. The woman said to us will they be kept together here, like kenneled together and everything. We said absolutely and we will wait till the right adopter comes along where they will spend the rest of their lives together. She started crying, saying they haven't been able to play in 3 months. The adoption fee of $300.00 cash (an additional $50 deposit is required when the puppy is under 6 months therefore not able to be altered. The deposit is returned to you once proof of spay/neuter is provided) which will be collected at the time of adoption. Adoption fees help off set the cost of spay/neuter, Rabies, Bordetella, Heartworm test, and other vet expenses as needed.
