Drako (Now Isac) (ADOPTED) Black Labrador Retriever & Great Dane Mix Homer Glen, IL

Drako is 3 1/2 years old and weighs about 85 pounds.  Drako came into our rescue as an owner surrender.  He was owned by a young man that could no longer care for him and he could not give him the exercise he needed.  He was adopted in 2021 to a man that was a runner and could exercise him.  We received a call after 3 years from the adopter that he lost his job and could no longer keep him.   Drako was adopted to a man and his partner.  The problem is he is jealous of his partner and growls and snaps at him.  When the adopter is by himself with Drako there is no problem.  The adopter bought a lot of nice things that will go with him.  After talking to the adopter he feels he would do best with a single person and where it would be one on one.  He is good in the crate.  He has no problem with other large dogs.  We are hoping to find the perfect home for him to spend the rest of his life.  We know we are asking for a lot because most people have spouses or significant others.  When Drako was nine months old and with a foster, he loved to play at foster's brother's home who had a pond on his property and would run around and play in the pond with the other dogs.  He deserves a furever home where he will be loved and spend the rest of his life.  If we can find the perfect home for Drako we will waive adoption fee.
