Drake Rottweiler & Shepherd Mix Meadow Lake, SK

Handsome Drake is our newest arrival, saved from an unhappy fate. He appears to be a young shepherd/rotti cross - likely 1.5 to 2 years old. He was on the shy side at intake but gentle. He's come out of his shell nicely and is quite a sweet guy. He seems to know the commands sit and down and takes treats gently. He does appear nervous if you raise your arms so may have been hit by a human in his past life. He may growl or bark at someone who startles him but with proper introduction is fine once he realizes the person won't hurt him. As a part rottweiler it seems he may have a bit of a food allergy so should be fed a limited diet/protein food (ie: instead of chicken or fish, a lamb and rice food).
He has been on a few leashed walks with a volunteer and does quite well. Drake received his neuter surgery Feb 14/24 so is ready to go.
On Apr 6/24 Drake got to attend a paint your pet fundraiser and did really well, just chilling in the studio wandering about to visit now and then. Was good with the kids that attended. He did do some marking though so will need a bit of work on his house training with regard to marking territory.

Our regular dog adoption fee is $250 which includes spay/neuter, shot, rabies shot and microchip.
