Anyways. I’m looking for a family or person to call my own. The perfect person would be someone that lives in the country, is able bodied, likes to go on hikes, has a fully fenced in yard and no other dogs or small pets.

I love affection and belly rubs. You should rub my belly for good luck. I also like to hold your hand and I’ll give you my paw just so we can hold each other.

I absolutely LOVE children of all ages and have lots of experience with them. Children make me happy and I’m constantly wagging my tail even when I hear them playing near by. I’m very gentle with them and love being pet and cuddled by them.

Im great with people! Don’t count on me to be a guard dog because besides barking to let you know someone’s here..I trust everyone to a fault. Especially when they have snacks!

I have a very stable temperament in things like going to the vet, driving in the car, getting bathed, trimming my nails and being physically handled. Im pretty much a zen master! But don’t let that fool you into thinking I’m not stubborn because I am. Unless you have a treat, because I’ll do almost anything for treats.

I’m fully potty trained and very clean (except my bouts of rolling in dirt).

I’m crate trained and kennel trained but I might bark about it sometimes.

Now I won’t lie to you, I have quite the voice on me. I don’t really bark, I “bay” and howl. A bay is a hound bark that comes from deep within my chest. You should hear my rendition of “Hound Dog” by Elvis.

My only real issue is that I’m dog selective so I tend to bark at other dogs on walks. It comes from a place of insecurity. I’ve never gotten into any physical altercations but I bark loudly to let them know I mean business if they try anything.

I cannot be trusted around cats or rabbits..I just want to chase them and they somehow end up in my mouth.

Now I live by a sort of a code. A hound code…“NOSE before hoes and bros”.

Which basically means that I use my nose before my brains. Oh I’m not stupid at all, Im just doing exactly what you humans bred me to do. And I’m pretty darn good at it.

I’m not a very big dog, I’m just portly and rotund. Ok fine, I’m fat. I weigh 50lbs and should be about 40lbs. I need someone that will exercise me daily and portion out my meals. I love to go on hikes and then come home and cuddle with you on the couch.
