Dottie was brought to the shelter upon the death of her owner. She has been sent to the vet for removal of an ear polyp. Dottie is close to 12 years old. She has been spayed and is up to date on her shots. Dottie currently weighs 24 pounds.

FOSTER UPDATE:
She’s honestly great. No complaints. House trained (now that the antibiotics aren’t upsetting her tummy anyway?) LOVES walks and she’s got some get up and go for an old gal. Does great with my dogs, not sure about cats though. She’s pretty affectionate once she gets to know you and I haven’t got it on video yet (probably because I don’t leave the house enough) but she does this cutest thing ever where when I get home, she barks for a minute then like bows down and presses her head up against the top of your feet looking up at you until you greet her. You might put she’s a talker too. Huge personality. I’d say her owner talked and catered to her a lot because she’s not at all shy about telling me everything, when she wants out, food ect. She may not make a great apartment dog due to her love of speaking.

Sweet Dottie and Bim came into our care after the death of their owner. They are doing great apart. Or you could possibly adopt both together??

Meeting dogs is by appointment only. Please call the shelter (740/593-5415) to make an appointment. All adopters must bring in kids and other dogs in the household for a meet and greet before adoption.

Adoption fees are $125 ($65 for dogs 7 years old and older) and include dog license, basic vaccinations, heartworm test on adult dogs, and spay or neuter (ARRIVED 3/4/24).
