Dottie Pit Bull Terrier Mix East Peoria, IL

Hi! My name is Dot, but my friends call me Dottie! I am a fun-loving 2 year old pit bull mix who loves to run and play, but also take time to relax with my foster mom and foster pup sibling. I am super energetic, very sweet, and obedient. I get along great with other dogs! Most cats seem cool, but sometimes we play chase. I think the cats like it? Ehh ok I know they don’t, but it is still fun! However, small animals remind me of running snackies , so I must try and capture them. It is probably in their best interest that we do not live together. I enjoy playing with toys especially bones and walking with my foster mom. I’m still learning the leash. Being so eager and excited about life, I can pull a bit, but I’m a quick learner so I’ll get the hang of it with a bit of training. Speaking of learning, my foster mom says I’m super smart. She said I listen to commands like stop and no. I also know “sit” and I’m practicing lay down. Going to good girl classes really interests me. I can show off my smarts, and duh, SNACKIES!! Going out in public is thrilling. I make a great patio dog, shopping partner, or adventure buddy! Bring me to all the places with all the peoples! The cate is a peaceful place. Sometimes I like to go in my crate to lay down. But to be honest, it’s not my favorite place, so if you don’t want me to stay in one that’s okay. Ya know, I am flexible like that! I promise I’m not destructive and I am potty trained. I am a very sweet girl who is ready for her FURever family!


**We do not ship or transport dogs. We require an in-home visit prior to adoptions. Due to this, we only require our volunteers/fosters to go an hour radius of the Peoria/Bloomington, IL area. Anything outside of that is up to the discretion of the individual foster.
We require resident pets to be up to date on vaccinations and require dogs to be on year round heartworm prevention.
