Resilience is all about being able to overcome the unexpected. The goal of resilience is not only to be able to survive, but thrive! I'm Dottie, a resilient and determined 2-year-old, 20-pound Puggle mix girl, seeking a human companion to conquer life's challenges with. Despite my past struggles, I've emerged stronger than ever. I possess an unwavering sweetness and an abundance of energy. My friendly nature allows me to effortlessly bond with other dogs, cats, and considerate children. Proudly I am housebroken and can even use a dog door! Playing and cuddling are among my greatest joys, and my intelligence shines through in all that I do. Walking on a leash brings me great joy, and I thrive in an active and structured environment. A couple of daily walks fuel my resilience and keep me at my best. It would be marvelous to have a fellow lively dog as a playmate in my forever home, as I excel in the art of wrestling! An ideal family for me would be one that spends more time at home, as being left alone can make me a little anxious and vocal. If you work from home or have the option to take me along to work or doggie daycare, it would be a perfect fit! Likely I will need a home with a fenced yard since I wouldn't be a good fit for an apartment. The Beagle in me is a little too rambunctious and loud.

Due to my recent triumph over heartworm treatment, I need a committed family who will keep me on heartworm preventative for the rest of my life. The battle against those relentless worms was no easy feat, but I emerged victorious! I am a testament to resilience and strength. Are you ready to meet a cuddly, intelligent champion?

I am a graduate of the Pups for Parole training program. I have all the basic training necessary to make a great companion. I will need a family willing to continue my training, I sure don't want to forget all that I've learned!


My adoption fee is $75 and includes my spay/neuter, vaccinations, wellness exam, heartworm test, and microchip!
