Meet Dottie!

And hold on to your HEART! This gentle little girl has a gorgeous face and a beautiful soul! She has a certain timidity in her nature that is very endearing, and she bonds very quickly to her human(s). This young lady is just an all around sweetheart who is longing for love. She LOVES to go for walks / runs, and she would like to find a family who will share their activities with her.

Dottie was found wandering alone and afraid in Hato Rey, PR, in an industrial/university center in the San Juan metropolitan area.

She spent the larger part of the day under the shade of cars. Luckily, given the COVID lockdown there weren’t many people around the industrial area and she was safe at night. She didn’t like to be by herself so when the night guards started their shift, she would walk up to their roofed area to sleep by their side, feeling safe and protected.

She was rescued by a wonderful woman and her niece, who welcomed Dottie into their family and nursed her back to health before setting her on her journey to NH, to search for her forever family. It was a very difficult goodbye, as they had grown very attached to her, but wanted her to have the best possible life.

This little girl is about 1 year old, weighs 28 lbs, has all of her required vaccines, and is spayed and microchipped.

Dottie has a mellow temperament but is not afraid to bark to ward off intruders. She loves other dogs, and she's especially happy to spend time with gentle people.
