Meet Dolly

Meet Dolly!
Female, currently 10 lbs. and growing.
Mixed breed
Age: 10 weeks.

Hi, my name is Dolly. I was born on October 16th, and I was the 9th pup of 10. Safe Haven took my momma in when she was pregnant, and she made her way to a foster home before we were born.

I have known nothing but love at my foster home, but I am ready to find my furever home.

I don’t have a “coat of many colors”, but I do have kissy lips marking on my hind quarters. I am a leader and an explorer. I am more than ready to see the world with my tail that is always wagging.

My foster home has 2 dogs and 2 cats, but I have not interacted with them much. I am learning potty training in an alfalfa pellet litter box so that I know the smell of grass for doing my business. I am getting desensitized to loud noises, so I won’t be scared when I grow up.

I am looking for someone who is patient, caring and willing to give me the time I need to grow and learn with positive reinforcement and consistency. If I sound like I would be a good fit for your family and you are ready for me “I will always love you” so submit your application to adopt me!

Illinois law requires that all of our dogs and puppies be spay/neutered within 14 days of a veterinarian deeming the dog or puppy is ready to be altered. In order to fully comply with this regulation and reduce the number of homeless dogs and puppies, we do not permit out of state adoptions of unaltered dogs or puppies.

Our standard adoption fee is $375 cash or check and $385 credit card ($10 processing fee). It includes spay/neuter when age appropriate at our participating vets, age appropriate core vaccinations, fecal testing, deworming, flea and tick preventative,1st vet visit at one of our participating vets, and micro-chipping.

We must have an application, conduct a phone interview, and meet your entire family to approve an adoption. Applications will not be reviewed unless fully completed. An application does not commit you to adopting and does not guarantee adoption but does allow us to begin the review process.

Please email adopt@safehavendogsIL.org for an application or additional details.

Please note that the breeds and sizes posted in this biography are educated best guesses and are not guaranteed.

Safe Haven Dog Rescue reserves the right to refuse adoption of any dog or puppy to any applicant (adopter) for any reason.
