DOBBY Feist Mix Barium Springs, NC

Dobby is an adorable 1+ year old, 26-lb. girl who has endless energy. When she first came into rescue, she was very timid and frightened... but it didn't take her long to realize that she had just found 'the good life'! Her foster dad says she's the sweetest, most loving little pup who enjoys being with her humans. She has a captivating personality, and with those prominent ears, offers up some awesome expressions.

Dobby is currently in training at Highland Canine Training in Harmony, NC, a nationally recognized training center that performs everything from basic obedience and socialization training to advanced law enforcement and search and rescue training.

Dobby has loads of energy and enjoys playing with larger dogs. Her level of energy requires she have plenty of physical and mental stimulation. It is important that Dobby’s new humans are able to provide her with an active life with plenty of exercise and interaction. Having one or more active and energetic canine playmates will provide even more ways for her to express her energy. Her trainers have commented she would be a good candidate for agility training.

When it's time to rest, Dobby enjoys lying beside or in the lap of her human or nearby on the floor. At night, she'll curl up in her bed next to your bed. She is kennel trained and housetrained with a doggy-door.

Dobby needs a home with a securely fenced yard, an active canine playmate, and active humans with whom to engage. A family with older children should be fine. Being a breed that has some inherent small game hunting traits, a home with small dogs or cats will not be a great fit.

Dobby is a healthy girl and is current on her vaccinations. She is current on her Dist/Parvo and Rabies vaccines, is spayed, microchipped, tested negative for Heartworms, and is on monthly Heartworm prevention.

Dobby's adoption fee is $400.00

Forever Home Canine Rescue offers a three-week trial period with all of our adoptions, just to be sure that the pet is a good match for the adopting family. The fee is refunded if the adoption does not work out within the trial period. We want to be sure that each of our pets will have their perfect 'forever' home!

Although Forever Home Canine Rescue adopts out-of-state, we never ship or transport our pets. An approved adopter must come to North Carolina to meet their new canine companion and then take him/her back home with them.
