UPDATE 4/2/2023
Zoe is now ready to go to a great forever home. She has come out of her shell and loves to snuggle in bed at night. She is still aloof and might not come running up and jump in your lap but she does love attention. She would need a fenced yard as she does occasionally get frightened and we would not want her to run away by accident. Zerah on the other hand is still very fearful. She does not like to be taken by the collar and will get scared and try to run. She is also available but will require a fenced yard and a very patient family.

UPDATE 10/8/2023
These gals have been with us for over 6 months now. They are still terribly shy but have come so far. They will come when I call them, but will not let me pet them. They are not fearful of me, they just prefer to keep about 2 feet away. Zoe is the friendlier one and she will come up and do a hand touch or let me pet the tip of her nose when called. Zerah is not quite as good. They are very happy though and love to run and play, or just hang out in the sun. The odd thing is I have started to bring them to bed with me and they will lay next to me and I can pet them as much as I want. In fact in the morning when it is time to get up they will come and paw at me and roll on me to get my attention or petting. I honestly think with love and time they would make great companions for most anyone. Because of them being shy I would require a fenced yard for them just to be safe.

The adoptions at SPARRO have been very slow since Covid. These pups have been here for months with no interest at all. They are Husky mixes and they are all females. Several have blue eyes that are so pretty. Best guess on age is in the 5-6 month old range. They are vaccinated, have crate experience and will play with other dogs or occupy them self if no one wants to play. Since they were born under a shed they didn't get much human contact until coming here, so 2 of them are more timid. One is pretty friendly and will run to me and jump into my lap when I call her.
