Daya is a special girl- we know we say that often about our dogs, but it’s true!

Daya’s story is one that we are hearing all too often in the rescue world. One of our friends at a partner shelter noticed an ad on a Facebook Buy and Sell group with the caption “looking to rehome”. Sure enough, the next day, a cute bulldog mix identical to the Facebook ad was called into Animal Services as a stray by the same person who posted the “Rehome” ad.

After 7 months in shelter with no interest, Daya was transferred to our care. While with the shelter, Daya went through a balanced training board and train program with our partnering trainers. Daya is a typical bulldog- she is a happy and bounce girl who is still learning her strength! She is medium to high energy and is always up for an adventure. Daya is looking for a family that will keep her active and will ensure she is not exposed to extreme temperatures for long periods due to her breed needs.

Daya loves to play with other dogs, but she is true to her bulldog breed, and would do best with strong and tolerant dogs. She does have the potential to accidentally hurt small dogs or small children with the amount of strength she has in her little body!

This sweet bean has spent a lot of time training with Correct Canine, and it is clear with her leash manners. Of course, with a new handler, Daya has experienced some adjustments in handler styles, but she has quickly picked back up her good girl skills and has been consistent! Daya would love a family that is ready to go on hikes and excursions where she can explore and eat lots of grass (Her favourite!).
