Meet Dawn

Female, 6 years old, 45 lbs.

Personality: loyal, adaptable, gentle, patient, affectionate, easy going, calm, quiet, and snuggler.

Dreaming of lazy afternoons and cozy cuddles? Then lady Dawn may be your match! Dawn's serene demeanor makes her the ideal four-legged friend for someone seeking a laid-back companion. Unlike most hounds, Dawn doesn't feel the need to vocalize her thoughts. Her calm disposition extends to most aspects of life, from leisurely walks to cuddly nap sessions. Dawn's favorite pastimes include exploring the world through her keen sense of smell and savoring the simple joys of life, like chewing on bones or lounging by your side.

Whether you live in a bustling city or a serene countryside, Dawn is equally at home. She's unfazed by new environments, making her a terrific companion for adventures, big or small. Dawn's easygoing nature extends to her interactions with children and adults. She loves nothing more than snuggling up with her human friends!

With her quiet charm and unwavering heart, Dawn is ready to become your lifelong friend. If you're looking for an endearing soul to welcome into your heart and home, apply today to meet Dawn!

City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is a foster-based rescue in Washington, DC. We do not have a shelter. CDCK has a thorough adoption process to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats (we do not operate under a first-come, first-served model).

Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter for dogs six months and older. We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam before adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDCK. City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us.
Dog specific: Rabies, DHPP, Lepto and Bordetella vaccines. They are tested for HW, Lyme, Ehrlichia, Anaplasmosis.
Most cats and dogs will have a house-training accident in the initial days in their new home and we cannot guarantee any pet is housebroken or crate trained.
