Hello, my name is Dash! I’m a border collie/boxer mix and I’ll be a year old on February 5th. I am a lean friendly machine! I love to be around my foster people and meeting any new people. I’ve been told I’m really quite handsome! I am learning my manners, I can sit, shake a paw and come when called….most times, and I’m working hard on not jumping up. My housetraining is going well and I do good with a schedule. I am learning to walk well on a leash and follow direction. I enjoy a brisk morning and evening walk with my foster parents and I’m learning to redirect my energy into playing with my own toys. I am not dog reactive and don’t bark when other dogs bark at me- I’m a fairly quiet guy. I’m sleeping through the night and settle down quickly in my crate.

Dash is learning to feel safe in his foster home and is building trust in his humans. So much that he enjoys a good afternoon snooze stretched out on the living room rug!

Dash would do well in a home with or without another dog, unsure about cats. Quickly makes friends with all age’s of the people he meets. No food or toy aggression, rides well in car, behaves during baths and enjoys lots of scratches and giving kisses.
Dash is a high energy boy, so will be looking for a family that can keep him active and properly exercised. He will also need continued training in his new home and a family willing to provide that for him.

The adoption fee is $600 and includes spay/neuter (dogs over 6 months), vaccines, heartworm test (dogs over 6 months), deworming, Flea and tick prevention and microchip. Please visit www.paws-united.com to fill out an application.
**For puppies under 6 months a $200 spay/neuter rebate will be given with proof of spay/neuter certificate signed by a vet, if they have not been done prior to adoption.**
**Please note we DO NOT adopt our dogs as outdoor/farm dogs. These dogs are coming to us as stray, roaming or dogs that have lived a life tied to a chain. Our goal is to bring them in the house off the chain and give them a pampered indoor dogs lifestyle. Unless otherwise stated we will not even consider a home that has intentions of leaving our dogs outdoors or tied to a chain**
***We do require every applicant to provide a vet reference and we do follow up with your vet. If you do not currently have a vet as you have no pets, we strongly encourage you to do your research and contact vets to make sure they are accepting new patients. You must have a vet in place before bringing a new dog home. You will be required to give your vet permission to release information to us, we also require two personal references as well that will be contacted. We have policy and procedure in place while screening homes. If a family refuses any step in the process they will not qualify for adoption. We are not currently doing adoptions across the boarder.***
