Meet Darla
Darla is an approximately 13 month old Labradoodle/possible Terrier mix, low shedding and weighing 46lbs. She has a soft tri-colored coat when the sun hits her just right, and Darla is great in the crate or on car rides. This sweet girl was found as a stray in Sunset Cliffs area, so she clearly had big plans for finding more fun and luxury in her life, and we have really enjoyed getting to know her during her training.
Darla loves children (more than adults even!), socializes great with dogs, and is definitely a "bird dog" in that she will stand and point to indicate she sees a bird (and she can be impressively focused for long periods of time). If you have annoying birds or critters on your property, Darla will gladly handle them for you!
Darla was pretty sick at first with some shelter crud when we pulled her, but she was a super star patient, and immediately settled in for crate training and recovery time. Darla walks on a treadmill (handy party trick if you're not wanting to go out in the rain), and she's one of those dogs that really bonds with her person in a special way. Darla is in training in Point Loma/San Diego, and ready to go home with her new family as early as 12/1. We will complete Darla's spay as part of her adoption agreement and fee, but we wanted to get her over the virus she has first.
