Darla Boxer Mix Chattanooga, TN

Farina is a Boxer mix who was surrendered to a county shelter very pregnant. Two days later she gave birth to 8 puppies on July 25th, 2023. They all came to us when the pups were only 6 days old. We have enjoyed watching them grow but now they are fixed and ready for the home life. There were 7 boys and 1 girl all named after the "Little Rascals." Meet Spanky, Froggy, Butch, Porky, Waldo, Petey, Alfalfa, and the one girl, Darla. Three pups and mom are still available for adoption.

3/9/24: Darla recently went out with one of our dog walkers and here is what she had to say about the sweet girl.

Darla was born at a shelter and has grown up at shelter…..again, it’s a numbers game…..everyone wants a puppy, and they don’t stay puppies for long…..and there are a lot of puppies out there for the taking. She was a rowdy rumbler with her sibling squad, but out on her own, she’s a shy, but sweet, girl. Thanks to all the paddlers who showed her that people ‘out in the wild’ aren’t as scary as she thinks they are!!

Darla had a good time exploring and will be a great pet!! She likes other dogs and would possibly do well with another dog’s guidance, but she’s a wild child at heart, so an active lifestyle would suit this girl.

We're open Wednesday - Sunday 12 - 5 p.m but are doing meet & greets and adoptions by appointment only.

The adoption fee is $135 which includes a free veterinary exam within 2 weeks of adoption at local participating vets, up to date vaccinations, heartworm test, heartworm preventative, dewormer, flea preventative, microchip, & spay or neuter.
