Meet Daphne
Hi, there. My soulful amber eyes caught your attention, didn’t they? It would be so nice if I could use them to stare lovingly into your eyes..
I’m on the smaller side and can be shy at first, but you have to be careful, right? That’s how it is when you’re living as a stray. Now that SCCR came to my rescue, I’m in a foster home learning how to be a good puppy. That’s right, I’m still a puppy at heart (around 1 year old), and I have lots of puppy energy, but I am very food motivated and learn quickly. My foster family will tell you that I know to go potty outside and I am easily redirected with a chew toy if you find me mouthing on something I shouldn’t.
I am working hard on remembering all the rules, though sometimes I forget when I am excited; I might be jumpy or a little mouthy with people, so it might be better if any kids in my forever home are a little older. Give me treats and I’ll learn quickly! I’m not picky either…I’ll never turn down a good treat, so I’m sure I’ll have this whole “training” thing figured out very soon. In fact, I love to work for my food, and would really enjoy doing classes or sporty activities with my human.
I’m an almost perfect girl who wants to learn and make you happy and proud. Will you be my new family to love?

We love our dogs. We want happy lives for all of them and are looking for the home that provides the best fit for each dog’s individual needs. Please understand that there may be multiple families interested in this dog.
Also, please know that the breed mix listed is simply a guess. In most cases, we don’t know their background. We encourage you to base your decision on individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on our guess.
Please understand, we only adopt our animals out near the Chicagoland area. Questions? Email us at adoptions@sccrescue.org. Hope to see you become part of the SCCR family!
