My name is Daisy Mae! I'm a platinum bombshell; a gentle and shy girl just doing my best to overcome a less-than-ideal childhood that has left me with a penchant for solitude. I’m around 2 years old and a svelte 68 pounds. Just look at me! Don’t you need some extra beauty in your life? I’m quite the looker.

I have a lot life to live, and guess what? I am gradually adjusting to a typical dog routine! I feel very comfortable and secure outdoors in the wide open spaces where I can retreat and observe my surroundings from a distance. A nice fenced-in yard where I can run and explore would be an ideal environment for me. I love my foster family’s farm, but I am fine on a leash for walks as well. But here’s a fact: cars are not my favorite things.

Considered “quiet and submissive”, I have a best buddy in my foster home and that is my 10-year-old human sib. He has really helped me come a long way toward trusting everyone and coming out of my shell. I think having other kids in my family who are kind and understanding would be wonderful, but don’t be surprised if it takes a little time for me to get used to new people, places and routines. However, other dogs (and even cats!) and I live together peacefully.
Thanks to Lolin saving me and getting me the vetting I needed, I am recovering from Lyme disease, but otherwise I’m healthy.

While I may not be initially inclined to be with people, I am not aggressive, just cautious and observant, taking my time to build trust with those around me. Once I form a bond, I will be a loyal companion.

I'm looking for a sweet family who will accept me just as I am! My ideal family understands and respects my need for solitude, providing me with a safe and secure environment where I can retreat when I feel the need.
