Meet Daisy

Make room for the brightest new star shining and ready for her summer adoption…..
ACDRA proudly presents DAISY!!!

“A real sweetheart...” - Foster Mom

“Such a good girl…” - Foster Dad

“I really thought I would become 2nd favorite when she got here…” - Foster Brother, Wyatt (previously adopted by Foster Family)

“We’ve had some really cool sleepovers…” - Foster Sister, Ginny (also an adoptee)

Greetings! Foster Mom here! Let me help you get to know Miss Daisy. First thing you may have noticed is how absolutely lovely she is. It’s the looks that catch our attention first right!? In addition to being just the prettiest girl on the block, she has such a sweet personality to go along with the looks. Miss Daisy LOVES people and all she wants is love from everyone she meets, she may even place her paw on you to request additional attention if she thinks you have not pet her enough. We have not been able to see her in action with small people like kids. I think she would be just fine aside from possibly jumping up on them for attention, so dog savvy kids would be best. She doesn't jump up a lot but takes gentle correction when it does happen. Daisy gets along very well with other dog friends too. For the most part she is non-reactive to other dogs but does try to be friends if they are receptive. We do not know how friendly Daisy would be with cats. That being said when she did see a squirrel in the yard she was very interested but did not give chase although she was also on a leash.

Now we’ll get to some other important stuff. Daisy is a medium to low energy girl. She is happy just doing whatever her people are doing whether it’s hanging out binge watching you favorite shows or going for walks outside. Bonus, she walks great on a leash! She does, however need to be leashed outside or have a fenced yard because as mentioned above, she loves people and will try to wander to find new ones to meet. Daisy is also house trained and not destructive, she hasn’t made any messes or tried to chew on anything, including toys. So far she hasn’t had any real interest in toys but maybe we just haven’t found her the right one yet!

As mentioned above, Daisy is very well behaved in the house, which is great because she is not a big fan of being in a crate. We tried that for one night and she barked on and off all night. However, I don’t think the crate is a lost cause. We have left it open with cozy blankets and have been feeding her at the open door of the crate and I have found her laying in there on her own. A little bit about her potty habits now lol. She will sometimes whine at the door to go out and does seem to like taking her time going potty. She likes to stretch her legs sometimes to get things moving I think haha. Daisy's recall definitely needs some work. She didn't answer to the name she came with so we changed it to Daisy and I think she just doesn't like the name. She does respond to snapping fingers, whistling and clapping so it could be she just doesn't know English lol.
We also only let the pups on the furniture if there is a blanket down and she won’t jump on the furniture unless we invite her so she would be good for whichever is your preference.

Daisy is 2-3 yrs old, spayed, up to date on all vaccinations and weighs in at about 42lbs, she did well being brushed and getting her nails done.
