Background :

Curly made he way to Canada from Costa Rica on February 5th. She is currently being fostered in Toronto and waiting to meet her forever family who will shower her in love, treats and pets!


Personality:

- Curly is brimming with personality and may take a moment to warm up, but she's ultimately a sweetheart.
- She loves cuddling on the couch and finding large blankets to snuggle into, or being close to her favourite people.
- Curly has a playful side and enjoys stockpiling toys and socks.
- While she loves to be around her people, she can be an independent girl who is happy to do her own thing.
- Curly is interested in dogs and likes to play with dogs who meet her energy level but proper introductions are required as she can be a bit selective of certain dogs in her space.


Ideal Home:

- Curly would do equally well in a condo with access to greenspace or a house with a backyard where she can run around and explore, she is very adaptable!
- She would make an excellent work-from-home buddy as she loves to be close to her people and can get all the pets and attention she craves
- While Curly is selective towards some dogs she loves all people including children and would be happy to be in a home with kids of any age.


Training/Activity:

- Curly has exceptional leash walking skills and makes every walk a wonderful experience!
- She is currently working on her recall but she is very treat motivated so she is learning quickly and has already mastered “sit” in the short time she’s been with her fosters.
- Curly is fully crate trained and will willingly enter her crate to nap throughout the day and will put herself to sleep at night.
- She is not the most confident girl in the car and prefers shorter trips but with continued exposure and positive reinforcement in the car this should improve over time.

She is a smart girl and a quick learner who is treat motivated, making training a joy and once she warms up to you, she will be your forever bestie!
