Meet CUPCAKE
Meet CUPCAKE!
Cupcake is an approximately 1 year old female mixed breed (possibly staffie and some sort of hound mix? Ibizan? ) dog who is around 1 year of age and weighs around 50-55 lbs.
From Cupcake's foster mom:
Cupcake LOVES to play with other dogs. She is still learning but my lab/pit mix and her will run and chase all day and is receptive when the other is wanting a break. She learned fetch from them as well ?? Cupcake is too interested in cats to live with them unfortunately.
Have they been around children? She has been around my niece, who is 10. She absolutely adores her and is very affectionate. She is old enough to keep her from pushing too hard as Cupcake is very excited and sometimes jumps with people.
Do you consider them low, medium or high energy? Medium-High. She gets little bursts of energy when you come home, but will settle on the couch when you do!
How do they react to meeting new people? Excited! Can be jumpy if she is allowed to but never nervous.
Do you consider them outgoing or shy? Outgoing
How does the dog walk on a leash? very well, doesn’t pull, stays beside you
How does the dog do in the car? Perfectly fine. She will try and crawl in your lap if you have her in the front so better to be secured in the back seat.
Are they crate training? Perfect in the crate
Are they housebroken? Yes Miss Cupcake is housebroken :-)
Do they know any commands? No
What activities do they enjoy? YOU. Whatever you’re doing she wants to be there. Cuddles and stares into your eyes! Runs with my other dog, Eating snacks and chewing on doggy bones.
Do they have any fears (thunderstorms, fireworks, etc)? None ghat we have seen.
Describe the ideal home for your foster dog? Older children (>10 years old) she would love a play partner to hang out with and as long as you like sharing your space, she’ll be great. She loves to snuggle with humans or other dogs. She’s very affectionate and would give little kisses all day.
What is your favorite quality about your foster dog? She is the Sweetest thing! She loves you entirely and is captivated by whatever you do. If you want a doggy that literally just wants to be your best friend cupcake is your girl. I love how she’s blossomed into a spunky fun personality while she has gotten her confidence while being with us.
We rescued this girl with just hours to go before euthanasia and we are so glad that we did! She is so ready for her loving forever home.
