Crystal is an adorable 6 month old white Siberian husky puppy. She is housebroken, crate trained, great with other dogs and children, a fun loving pup. But, she requires a prepared and experienced home!

So, you want a husky puppy?
This adorable group of pups, Winter, Crystal, and Blizzard, were surrendered to Pathway to help place them in loving, experienced homes. The owner made the right choice after an accidental breeding, and surrendered the pups to rescue. Together, we are working to spay mom and break the cycle.
But, there is more to these pups than meets the eye! Who doesnt loved a fluffy, blue-eyed puppy? The sad reality is that huskies are coming into rescue in greater numbers because of ill prepared families. Huskies are not for the average pet owner! So many huskies are given up between 9 months and 2 years due to their incredible energy, shedding, prey drive, aloof nature, escape tendencies and destructive behavior when not properly exercised.
Siberian Husky Club of America shares the following:
Siberians are a gregarious lot and need the company of other dogs or of people at all times. If you work all day, or have room for only one dog . . . don't adopt a Siberian.
While capable of strong affection for his family, the Siberian Husky is also very friendly with strangers. So, if you want the fierce loyalty of a one-man dog . . . don't adopt a Siberian.
At least once a year Siberians shed their coats. If you like fur all over the house and in the very air you breathe, then fine. If, however, you value neatness at all times, then . . . don't adopt a Siberian.
Siberian Huskies have a natural proclivity for digging holes in backyards. If you take great pride in your landscaping efforts . . . don't adopt a Siberian.
Of all the shortcomings to be found in Siberians, the most dangerous to the pet owner is their tremendous desire to RUN. A Siberian, for his own protection, should be kept confined or under control at all times. If you think it is cruel to kennel a dog, or keep him confined in his own backyard . . . don't adopt a Siberian.
If you are interested in adoption, please visit www.apathwaytohope.org! Please note that our husky pups will only be placed in homes with dog experience.
