Cricket Feist Mix Oklahoma City, OK

Cricket is an approximately 1-year old Chihuahua mix that weighs 10 lbs. He was a stray that tested positive for heartworms. The rescue has had him treated for heartworms and he is ready for adoption.

Cricket is very sweet & loves people as well as other dogs. He loves to play with anything squeaky. He’ll play with you, by himself or with his canine friends. We’ve been working on teaching him fetch which he loves but sometimes he doesn’t want to give up the toy turning it into tug a war. He enjoys sitting in your lap & snuggling. He’s a big fan of treats. Healthy things he likes to eat are carrots, peas & green beans.

He gets along great with other dogs both old and young. He even changes his play style depending on the dog he’s playing with. He would make an excellent addition to a home with or without another dog. He seems to really like kids but he hasn’t been around littles since the rescue has had him so unsure how he is around very young children.

He is leash, crate & house-trained. He loves sleeping under the covers at night snuggled up next to you. In cold weather he appreciates a jacket or sweater to keep him warm. His current home has a doggy door & he may require some patience as he adjusts to a home that doesn’t have one as has gotten used to being able to go outside to go potty on his own as needed. He’s a really good boy & he’s even getting to be left uncrated while his family is away from home.

Cricket is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, current on flea, tick & HW preventative and micro chipped. His adoption fee is $200.
