Cowboy American Bulldog Mix O Fallon, IL

Once upon a time, in the vast expanse of the Wild Mississippi Woods, there lived a little-legged legend known as Cowboy, a "pocket" American Bully, short and stout, with a heart as big as the clear blue sky. He is 11 months old and weighs about 45 pounds.

Cowboy is a pup of mystery and mirth. His days before our rescue were filled with romps through the open fields, chasing whatever things caught his interest like they were outlaws on the run. He was always strutting around like the sheriff of the town.

One fateful day, Cowboy saddled up for a grand adventure, sniffing out the unknown trails that beckoned him. With the wind in his fur and the sun on his back, he roamed the vast terrain of a Mississippi backroad, meeting critters big and small.. but, oh, the Wild Woods can be a tricky place, and one day, Cowboy found himself lost.

Yet, Cowboy didn't cower in fear; instead, he embraced the challenge with the spirit of a true frontier hero. Days turned to nights, and Cowboy's legend grew as whispers of the lost pup spread through the wind. But no one came forward to claim him. A family found him and kept him safe. He befriended his finder and the dogs that lived at this newfound frontier.

Cowboy discovered the joy of playing with fellow dogs, forming a posse of loyal companions who shared in his adventures. His love for humans was as warm as the noonday sun, and every stranger became a friend in Cowboy's eyes.

He proved his mettle when it came to cats, too, upon a visit to the vet's office he found them interesting but non-threatening to his cowboy shenanagins.

And when the time came to hit the trail, Cowboy showed his true grit. He hopped into the back of a trusty wagon, his tail wagging like a happy tune. The open road became his home, and the jingle of spurs and the creaking of the wagon were his lullabies. (He's good in the car.)

So, the legend of Cowboy, the pocket American Bully, continued to grow under the vast Western sky. With a heart as free as the wind and a spirit as untamed as the frontier.....
