Meet Colby, a sweet and affectionate year old little Aussie eagerly searching for his forever family. This handsome boy found himself in need of a new home when his previous owners could no longer accommodate him due to new living arrangements. Despite the change, Colby has remained resilient and adapted well in his foster home.

In his foster home, Colby has thrived, forming a close bond with his canine companion whom he loves to chase around the yard. At just 18 lbs, he may be small in size, but his energy and zest for life are mighty! Colby’s luxurious coat adds to his charm, though it does require regular brushing to keep it looking its best.

While Colby walks okay on a leash, he could benefit from some additional manners training, particularly regarding his exuberance to meet to other dogs and children passing by. Despite this, he’s incredibly friendly towards people and is eager to make new friends. With a bit of patience and guidance, his leash skills will surely improve.

Colby’s ideal home would include a fenced yard where he can freely run and play to his heart’s content. He adores physical activities and would thrive in an environment that provides ample opportunities for exercise and mental stimulation. Another dog companion would be a bonus, as he gets along well with his current foster sibling and enjoys the company. Colby lived with cats previously but enjoys chasing them (in play) and likes to get into the litter, so any cat owners should be aware of these tendencies when applying. Colby also lived with children in his previous home.
