Background:
Coffee came from Texas where her previous history is unknown given she was a stray. She is initially wary of people she meets and must be allowed time to get to know people to ensure they are worthy of her trust. Once she knows and trusts you she is a great snuggler and always by your side! She also loves to wear her cute sweaters in the colder weather! She is a very intelligent girl and highly food motivated, so she learns quickly. She knows many obedience commands and actually knows the fire safety drill of stop, drop and roll which speaks to what a smarty pants she is! Coffee struggles with confidence and therefore she needs a person with dog experience who will be dedicated to continuing her training and who will provide her with rules and boundaries using force free methods. Coffee has been living and working with a trainer and has made much progress with her confidence during this time.

Her ideal home would be with a person or couple who have a calm environment where she is not left unattended for more than 5-6 hours a day. Although she does love children, a home without children would be preferred. She requires someone who will commit to ensuring she receives appropriate mental stimulation and physical exercise with several walks per day. She does not need another dog in the home but could live with another dog as long as they are balanced, social and exude a calm energy that has proven to help Coffee blossom.

Any potential adopter would be required to meet Coffee a minimum of three times to allow her to become familiar with you. Any potential adopter must also continue virtual training with the trainer to ensure Coffees continued progress and a successful adoption.
