Cody Labrador Retriever & Catahoula Leopard Dog Mix Seattle, WA

Animal Profile: Cody is an estimated 9-month-old, 50 lb neutered male lab mix (possibly with Catahoula) from Roswell New Mexico. He and his two litter mates were taken into the shelter as young pups and have been growing up in kennel-based foster care, including socialization with other dogs of all sizes and people. Unfortunately, despite their friendly temperaments, the three large-breed black dogs were not getting any adoption interest, so Cody has joined Dog Gone Seattle to find his forever home. Foster Update: We are just getting to know Cody, but he is really coming out of his shell! He enjoys going on runs and being outside and he'll need another balanced dog in his forever home to help build his confidence. He plays all day with our resident dog and loves to follow her around! He does well in the car, is good with other dogs and adults in the home, and loves playing with toys. He is good in the crate and sleeps through the night. We are working on crate training during the day. Cody would love an owner who has experience with initially shy and skittish dogs and can provide him confident leadership.

Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.
