Hi, I’m Harley. I’m a darling Chihuahua mix girl and I weigh eight pounds at three years old. I was given up by my original family after they had a baby. I’ve been with SOHF for a few weeks now. I have been out on trial three times already and sadly, each time the people returned me.
Here’s the deal. I’m a real sweet girl, but I’m not for everyone. It takes me a while to warm up to new people and if you push me too fast, I’ll correct you with my teeth. Once I bond to you, I love to be held and snuggled in your lap. I’ll even sleep under the covers with you, but you have to let me tell you when I’m ready for that kind of close contact. I’m a girl who knows my boundaries and I will enforce them. I like both men and women, but I prefer to keep my circle small. I would like a home with just one or two adults — NO children, please. I’m not up for socializing with your friends, so please just put me in my crate when company comes over. I don’t want to meet them and I definitely don’t want them touching me! Like I said, I like my circle small. I do get along fine with most other dogs and cats. I love my toys and I’m a pro at the game of fetch. I’m doing well with house training and I’m crate-trained. I’m as loyal and loving as can be and I know someone out there will appreciate my wholehearted devotion.
