Meet Chris Evans!

Chris Evans is a young, male Bassett hound + Doberman pinscher puppy! The litter of C puppies are just 8 weeks old (as of 3/23/24) and weigh about 8-10 pounds each.

The C puppies came to us as owner surrenders when their humans didn't have the companion animals in the home spayed or neutered. We beg people to please act responsibly and like Bob Barker always said, "Make sure your pets are spayed and neutered!" Momma dog is the large Doberman pincher in the photo. Father to the pups was a Bassett hound, pictured above.

Bassett hounds in general are known to be low-key, but they can also be stubborn in nature. This breed is known to do well in family environments, thanks to their sweet nature and ability to get along so well with children. Basset Hounds are very social and so enjoy the company of their owners for most of the day. They best suit a family home where there is always someone around and lots of opportunities to be with people.


$275 Adoption Fee

All puppies are dewormed, started on heartworm and flea prevention, and microchipped.

All puppies will be adopted with current, age appropriate vaccines, given by Peppermint Pig Animal Rescue.

Peppermint Pig Animal Rescue will provide their puppy series DAPP vaccines, given at 6, 8, 12, and 16 weeks of age. Only the 16 week shots are remaining.

Puppy adopters will be will be required to bring the puppy back to Peppermint Pig Animal Rescue to receive any remaining puppy vaccines after adoption.

Puppy adopters will also be required to bring the puppy to our vet for their spay/neuter surgery after they receive their 16 week vaccination from us. The spay/neuter and puppy vaccines are included with the puppy adoption fee.

Adoptions are held at our Adoption Center inside Peppermint Pig Thrift and Gift on Saturdays from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. Please complete your adoption application in advance so our volunteers have time to screen and contact potential adopters.

IMPORTANT: All applications are reviewed in the order they are received and qualifications are based on best fit for each individual pet.

A volunteer will contact you if you are selected for a meet with adoptable pet.

Final approval is always made in person.
