Chewbarka Shih Tzu Mix Temple, TX

Meet Chewbarka! We call him Chewy for short. He is a snuggly 6 month old Shih Tzu mix and only weighs about 8 pounds. Little Chewy came into the shelter with his tail nearly severed, gangrenous They removed most of his tail (he's still got a cute little stub) and he's been doing a lot of healing and is now ready to find his forever home! Chewy sleeps quietly in his crate all night and is doing very well with potty training. He's finally starting to act like a puppy and some of his favorite things to do are take every toy out of the toy box, shake each one like he's wringing the life out of it, roll balls and then chase them, and sometimes for no good reason, his back foot will look really threatening so he'll roll around and try to grab it! He's a hoot! Chewy gets along well with his 3 foster siblings, the resident 11 year old (going on 18) girl and her whole soccer team, and seemed intimidated by the cat. He will need to be groomed throughout his life as his hair can grow very long so his new family will need to take that into consideration. He has had all his shots, is neutered, microchipped and will come with a box of heartgard. Can't beat that!
