We have gleaned many awesome dogs from near and far, of all ages, sizes and breeds who need homes. And we need to make room in our fosters and at our Adoption Center to get ready for the busy summer season.

ADOPTION FEE: $475. This fee INCLUDES spay/neuter and microchip. **Ask me about our many adoption benefits that include free exams, pet insurance, training and other discounts!

ESTIMATE WEIGHT FULL GROWN: 40 lbs

KNOWN WITH DOGS: Chestnut does well with other dogs. He can be easily excitable around other dogs and was recently neutered.

KNOWN WITH CATS: We do not currently know how they are with cats. If that is needed, let us know and we'll work on getting that information!

KNOWN WITH KIDS: We are not sure how Chestnut does with children at this time.

KNOWN COMMANDS: Chestnut does not seem to know any commands at this time.

KNOWN HOUSEBREAKING &/OR CRATING: Chestnut appears to do well in a crate.

KNOWN LIKES: Love and attention!

ABOUT THIS ANIMAL: Allow me to introduce you to Chestnut, a charming canine companion with a heart as warm as his namesake hue. With an estimated weight of 40 lbs, Chestnut embodies the perfect balance of strength and gentleness.

In the realm of canine camaraderie, Chestnut shines as a social butterfly, effortlessly mingling with his fellow four-legged friends. However, his recent neutering may have added a touch of excitability to his interactions, a trait that will surely mellow with time and patience.

While his feelings towards cats remain a mystery, Chestnut's affable nature suggests that he approaches all creatures with a friendly disposition, awaiting only the opportunity to extend his paw in friendship.

Although his command repertoire is currently empty, Chestnut's eagerness to please and adaptability make him a prime candidate for learning new tricks and commands in due time.

In the realm of housebreaking and crating, Chestnut appears to be a model citizen, settling into his crate with ease and grace.

When it comes to his preferences, Chestnut's simple desires boil down to one thing: love and attention. Whether it's a scratch behind the ears or a cozy cuddle session, Chestnut thrives on the affection of his human companions.

Hailing from one of our shelter partners, Chestnut's journey led him to our doorstep, where he eagerly awaits the chance to find his forever home. While he may have a minor quirk regarding his food, Chestnut's boundless love and unwavering loyalty make him a cherished addition to any family ready to open their hearts to his gentle spirit.
