Hi, my name is Shredder! I'm a PURPLE pawprint, which means I will fit well into a home that meets some specific criteria. Here is what would work best for me in my new home:

-Personality: Active, intelligent, nervous
-Can Live with Kids: 12+, Shredder is shy and would need to live with dog savvy older kids. (Up to counselor's discretion).
-Can Live with Cats: Not recommended - Shredder has a high prey drive.
-Can Live with Dogs: Yes, Shredder would likely benefit from living with a well socialized dog. All introductions done at WHS to ensure everyone gets along.
-Can do Apartment Living: No
-Potty Trained: Appears to be
-Bite History: No
-Positive Reward Based Obedience Classes Required: Not required, would be beneficial for gaining confidence!
-Energy Level: Medium/High
-Needs Medical Procedure Before Going Home: Nope, Shredder is good to go!

Meet Shredder - a young shepherd looking for a stable, patient, and loving home. Shredder needs a home where someone is home often to provide him with plenty of mental and physical stimulation to keep him occupied. Shredder has been pretty anxious since arriving at the shelter, but consistent training, positive reinforcement, and plenty of love and encouragement will help him overcome his uncertainties and continue to grow into a confident and well-adjusted companion! We highly recommend working on crate training as well because Shredder does indeed live up to his name and when bored/stressed gets into trash/treats etc and providing him with a space that is just his own will help him feel safe.
