Cheddar Golden Retriever Palo Alto, CA

This dog will be at a meet and greet event on Saturday, April 6th at the Palo Alto Pet Food Express from 12-3pm, unless he/she is set up and adopted prior to the event. Those interested in meeting the dog can come out to our meet and greet event. We no longer do application approval onsite. Anyone adopting has been previously approved and set up to meet prior to the event.

Cheddar is a 12 year old Golden Retriever with three legs, two ears, and one BIG heart! This Golden Girl came to us from the shelter after we were called to take in several other dogs. We saw her and knew this gorgeous pup deserved to live out her golden years in style and comfort so we scooped her right up. Cheddar is a tripaw, and a bit of a Woman of Mystery, and while we may not know how her three-leggedness came to be, we know that she hops through life with a spring in her step and a wag in her tail!

Cheddar is sunshine captured in a bottle, the happiest girl who sees the brightness in the world and wants to make it even better! Cheddar still has a lifetime of energy and curiosity to show the world. She loves rolling on grass, soaking up the sunshine, and taking leisurely strolls around the neighborhood. Cheddar has a fun and easygoing nature that makes her up for afternoon strolls and long couch snuggle sessions alike! Cheddar loves being pet and groomed and will let you preen her for hours at a time. Cheddar hasn't quite figured out the toy thing quite yet, but we think she has it in her!
Cheddar's day kicks off at 7 am with a short potty break, followed by some quality lounging while she watches her humans get ready for the day. At 8:30 am, she eagerly trots on her morning walk around the neighborhood, delighting in the scents and sights of the world passing by, her cute ears flapping with every joyful step. After her morning adventure, Cheddar enjoys her breakfast at 9 am and then spends the day lounging around until her afternoon potty breaks and a longer walk at 5 pm. She's not only a pro at relaxing but also at being a good neighbor, as she gets along with other dogs during her walks. At night, Cheddar sleeps in the crate peacefully through the night until it's time to start another day of adventures at 7 am.
Cheddar gets along well with other dogs she meets on walks and could be an option for a dog friend! Puppies may be a bit too chaotic for this older gal. Cheddar loves being close to her humans and promises to bring warmth and joy to any loving home. If you are looking for a friendly, adorable, and loving fur friend, look no further than Cheddar!

Cheddar is an option for just about any home. She could be a fit for a first-time home. You won't find a better family pup than a Golden! Kids in the home should be over the age of 8.
