Meet Cecilia
Hi, my name is Cecilia! I'm a PURPLE pawprint, which means I will fit well into a home that meets some specific criteria. Here is what would work best for me in my new home:
-Personality: Gentle, friendly, affectionate, smart
-Can Live with Kids: Unknown history. Seems like she'd be okay with respectful, dog-savvy kids of most ages. Everyone will need to meet at the shelter first to ensure they all get along!
-Can Live with Cats: Unknown history- will need slow, supervised intro.
-Can Live with Dogs: Yes, Cecilia can be a bit fearful when meeting new dogs so she would likely do best with a more mellow dog. Introductions will be scheduled to ensure everyone gets along.
-Can do Apartment Living: Not recommended but may be okay with plenty of physical and mental stimulation.
-Potty Trained: Appears to be!
-Bite History: No
-Positive Reward Based Obedience Classes Required: No
-Energy Level: Medium- seems to be more on the mellow side than most Cattledogs
-Needs Medical Procedure Before Going Home: Spay/microchip
-Additional Information: Cecilia was found left tied to a tree along with 2 other dogs. Unfortunately no one came looking for her so now she's ready to find a new forever family! Cecilia is the youngest of the bunch and is still a bit of a puppy, however she seems to be fairly mellow as far as Cattledogs go. She enjoys the finer things in life like pets, snuggles, and snacks! Cecilia would likely do well in most home environments as long as she's not left alone for too long. She'd love to join you on weekend hikes and daily walks/jogs around the neighborhood. If Cecilia sounds like the perfect fit for you, submit an application to come in and meet her!
If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website (www.whatcomhumane.org/adopt) or in person at our facility. We recommend calling into the shelter after your application has been submitted so our front desk can give you next steps on our adoption process.
