Meet Cassie
All my life I have yearned to be free and to feel love. Now is my time!
My name is Cassie. I am a precious 20-ish pound Cocker Spaniel lady. I am almost 6 years old, and sadly, I have never really known true love and affection. I came from a breeder release program where I was forced to have multiple litters of puppies. However, my birthing days are over and I am learning what it's like to be a beloved pet living in a comfy home. Understandably, I don't yet know exactly what I am supposed to be doing, like going potty on the grass or walking on a leash, but I am learning! I've been cooped up in a cage my whole life, so I really don't like being in a crate at all (can you blame me?) I am super sweet, and I love to be near my person. I get along with other dogs and with calm, dog-savvy children. I will need a calm environment...without a lot of noise...or energetic little ones running around as I am still pretty timid and unsure of my new surroundings. My forever home needs a fenced yard. No apartment life for me. Another dog to hang out with and help build my confidence would be nice too, but if my person is. home more often than not and gives me plenty of time and affection, I would be fine as an only dog. My true personality will only be revealed over time as I transition from the puppy mill to a home. It is important to know that I will need a family who is patient and unconditionally loving as I learn lots of new things at my own pace. Your patience will be rewarded ten-fold with a wonderful and sweet companion. Will you be the one to show me the love I deserve?
My adoption fee is $150 and includes my spay/neuter, vaccinations, wellness exam, heartworm test, and microchip!
