Casey Shetland Sheepdog / Sheltie Charlotte, NC

Casey is a 10 year old neutered male sable & white Sheltie. He came from a bad situation and is shy with people until he gets to know you. He has come a long way from the fearful dog he was through a lot of socialization in his dedicated foster home. He has settled in nicely to family life and seems very happy to be around people. He has become accustomed to most noises that once scared him, but he still panics at some particularly loud noises, like fireworks. Casey is crate trained, but he prefers to stay close to his people, hanging out in the kitchen and snoozing by the fireplace. He is very loving and is a good companion. Casey has been diagnosed with dry eye and will need inexpensive eye medication administered daily for the rest of his life. He also had a tumor removed from his leg and our vet was able to get great margins and does not expect a recurrence. Casey has been through a lot and is very deserving of a loving adoptive home for his golden years.
