Canelo American Staffordshire Terrier Mix Warrenville, IL

Canelo had a very hard past, the scars on his face and body show how much that he has over come. He was let down by humans, but he shows nothing but love and kindness towards everyone he meets!

Canelo is such a handsome guy with his broad shoulders, beautiful cinnamon coat, sweet almond shaped eyes and the cutest pouty bottom lip! He is the sweetest dog with a heart of gold! He is very well behaved, smart, does wonderful in a crate and is treat motivated! Canelo has the perfect energy level. He is pretty chill and calm, with occasional outdoor zoomies! He picks up on energy and listens very well. Canelo is a smart cookie, and already knows
"sit", "no", "come", "down", and "stay".

Canelo never knew what toys were (he probably never had one in his past) but now he loves toys so much, especially his Kong ball and football. He does the cutest froggy hop of happiness when he chases his ball! It is the funniest thing! He also does a happy dance with his two front paws when he is going to get food or a treat. However, our most favorite thing Canelo does is every time we give him his food bowl, he takes a few bites of food, then he comes up to me with his tail wagging, almost to say "thank you!" He then goes back to finish eating his food. He is such a sweet boy! Canelo is an all around AMAZING dog! He has perfect energy level, sweet soul, well behaved, wonderful in a crate, very friendly and has nothing but love and loyalty to give!
