One of the happiest boys you'll ever meet, Calvin is ready for his furever home! He is about 6 months, just over 20 pounds, potty trained, crate trained, great with other dogs and kids... Who could ask for more!?

Calvin came into rescue in January 2024 and already has proved himself a fighter, surviving Parvo as a puppy. He is 100% healthy now and safe to be around other dogs. In fact, he warms up to canine friends a little faster than human friends! His favorite pasttimes are wrestling with his foster brother, eating, and cuddling. We have recently discovered bully sticks and peanut butter, to Calvin's absolute and unfiltered joy. This boy is a GREAT cuddler and self made furnace. Loves to be on his human's laps for a snooze, and would equally love to sleep in bed with you! As a chocolate lab mix, Calvin has a great temperment, and is definitely not an alpha. He is content to sit by you, even in crowded situations, until someone calls him or he sees another dog. In fact, when Calvin is introduced to other dogs, we've had several dog parents note that 'my dog normally doesn't play with other dogs' as the pups are play bowing. Calvin is just a chill puppy and everyone's friend!

Calvin wants to please and is food motivated, making training pretty easy! He is potty trained and only has had a couple accidents in his foster home, mostly #1 on the rug by the door. He is kenneled when his foster parents are away and at night. We are working REALLY hard on listening for commands, it's just so hard to focus when there's a treat involved! Calvin is working on walking in a semi-straight line which is difficult for all puppies! He loves walks but does not require extensive exercise, especially if he has a sibling to play with. With a front harness clip, he doesn't pull on a leash either!

Once you meet Calvin, you will fall in love with this his easy going attitude and big smile. He's one of a kind and will be a great addition to any family. Calvin is up to date on all shots, microchipped, and neutered.
