Meet Callie (Oak Grove)

Meet Callie! Located in Oak Grove.
Callie is very social, playful, and loving. She loves to snuggle, give hugs, and play. Callie does great with dogs her size and bigger who like to play and run. She plays too rough for small dogs(anything under 40 pounds). Callie is higher energy and needs someone who can give her lots of playtime. She loves to run, play, and swim in the kiddie pool.
Callie is about 1-2 years old (still very puppy), 50ish pounds, vaccinated, dewormed, kennel trained, microchipped, and heartworm negative.

Callie needs work on leash walks and basic obedience. She's a smart girl and quick learner. She was starved before coming into rescue so has very little manners when it comes to human food. She will try to jump onto tables and counters for food. She also thinks she is only 10 pounds and will jump onto the couch or chair you are in to be closer to you. She does not understand her size and what comes with it. Callie needs a home that will be willing to work on these behaviors with her and give her the time to learn. She is very friendly with people and loves when all the teenagers come over to hang out. Callie is very much still puppy and tons of fun! This special girl just needs a home of her own.

Callie can not live with cats. She has a huge prey drive and will chase them. She does not try to kill them, just chases too much and then tries to pick them up and paw at them.
Callie gets car sick. She will need someone who's willing to work on short trips to help with this. We have learned she does better if she can look out a window rather than be in a kennel where she can't see out of the car.

Callie requires a fenced in yard to run and play. Fence should be 6 feet, as she can jump anything shorter.
