Meet Calix
This litter of Spring Beauties, born Jan. 1, 2024, is sure to make your life bloom! Mom is a Dutch Shepherd (her picture is included), but Dad's breed is unknown.
Per his foster mom: "Calix is a big baby! Loves milk bones. Crate trained and working on leash training. House trained. Loves attention. He is confident once he settles in although timid at first, Loves belly rubs. He jumps willing in a familiar car and rides good."
Calix went to our Petco event in Aug. 2024. He was nervous, but was willing to allow strangers to pet him :) He walked with reasonable confidence through the parking lot and store, considering this was his first visit. No significant pulling or balking.
Calix is one gorgeous guy! He is smart, athletic and ready for his forever home. Please inquire to adopt by sending an email to: info@FoothillsCanineRescue.org.
**********
Whether dogs / puppies come in as strays or owner surrenders, we make our best guess as to birthdate and breed.
If adopted into a home with other animals, particularly cats, your new pet should be crated or secured when you're not available to supervise to insure a harmonious relationship.
For adult dogs, our adoption fee covers a standard canine vaccine, a rabies vaccine, and deworming if recommended by our vet. Adult dogs will also have current heartworm test. For puppies over the age of 14 weeks, our adoption fee covers the first 3 puppy vaccines. If the puppy is still in our care at 16 weeks, we will also provide the rabies vaccine.
A vet reference may be required if you are adopting an intact dog to ensure responsible pet ownership. A refundable spay/neuter deposit is required for intact dogs/puppies.
Open Adoption Events for Bunch Anderson Shelter Dogs are held every Saturday from noon-4:00 p.m. Our dogs who reside in private foster care are seen by appointment. Please check our FB page for changes in Adoption Event Schedules.
A scheduled Meet & Greet between Adoption Events may be possible by sending an e-mail to: info@foothillscaninerescue.org. We do not hold dogs. Fees are required in cash.
We are an all-volunteer, foster-based no-kill shelter & rescue. We receive no funding from agencies. For more information on our organization, visit our website at FoothillsCanineRescue.org.
