Abracadabra! Alakazam! And Bibbity Bobbity Boo too! Meet MAGIC! (aka “Black Magic” and “Midnight Magic”) ….A 3 month old Standard Goldendoodle girl who puts a spell on everyone she meets. Like all babies, she is of course, absolutely adorable. But “adorable" doesn’t even BEGIN to describe this petite, raven-haired beauty. … We like to say she is "magically DELICIOUS.” A Christmas present for the kids in her original home, Magic found her way to DRC when the kids began having severe allergic reactions to her and her “breeder” (and we use the term lightly) refused to take her back.

Magic's foster parents report:

"Magic is a sweet, happy, engaging, playful, and healthy puppy. She has been easily trained to do simple commands (sit, come, learning her name). Magic loves to play with adults and kids. She is very interested in other dogs and curious about our adult cat. She exhibits typical puppy behavior of play biting and chewing, but is easily distracted by "sit" commands or with a chew toy--no serious biting has occurred, and she has not broken skin when nipping while playing. She is working on potty training. She eliminates outside almost exclusively; her only indoor accidents have been urination when we haven't taken her outside quickly enough. She has had zero defecation accidents indoors. She sleeps in a crate at night and during naps, and she is training to stay in crate for 15-20 min while not under direct supervision. She needs a little help calming down while in her crate but does so easily after 5-30 minutes and sleeps for 6-8 hours at night without whining or crying once she has calmed herself down in her crate. The puppy was purchased from a home with multiple adult dogs and cats. She engaged well with multiple family members and friends who visited over Christmas. She exhibits typical and healthy puppy behaviors and needs supervision inside and outside as she pulls on clothing/blankets/pillows inside and she chew and likes to chew on landscape bark and small rocks outside. She has done some minor digging in the lawn without noticeable damage.”

“Magic has attached herself to our Goldendoodle Nemo. The two are inseparable and Magic takes her cues from her foster brother. Paperwork revealed that she had been sold and taken from her momma and littermates at too young of an age so she seems to really thrive with the guidance, instruction and companionship of another dog."

Magic will need a nice calm, adult only home AND

ANOTHER WELL MANNERED DOG FOR COMPANIONSHIP IS AN ABSOLUTE MUST!

She is accustomed to being allowed on furniture and only homes that allow dogs on furniture will be considered. Because of her young age, Magic will be placed in a home with a spay/neuter contract that will require an additional deposit refundable to her adopter upon presentation of proof of spay. She is micro-chipped and UTD on all vaccines and preventatives. Magic will be a wonderful addition to the right family.

You must be prepared for your dog to be an inside member of your family.
In most cases, a PHYSICAL FENCE IS REQUIRED in order to be considered for a DRC rescue doodle.

DRC Adoption donations typically range from: $300 - $600 and vary according to the age, health, temperament and location of each dog. Every doodle is an individual and every doodle has his/her own specific needs and requirements. Adopters are selected based on compatibility, NOT on a "first come, first serve basis. At no time does DRC ever put the desires of applicants before or above the needs and requirements of rescue doodles in our program.
