Meet BUTTERCUP (Spayed!)

BUTTERCUP arrived at the shelter in mid May and immediately had a brightening effect on the entire place and staff with her beautiful face and outgoing personality! Some dogs just make you want to smile! Staff has listed this dog as a Bornholmer mIx, tan in color with black markings. Her intake weight was 32 pounds and she was estimated at 3 to 4 months as of her intake date. Thanks to a partnership between UT and Cumberland County Animal Shelter, she was spayed on June 17. As a result, she can go home the same day that she is adopted! Serious adopters are encouraged to CALL the shelter to schedule an adoption appointment. Staff can explain the adoption procedures and fees when you call. The shelter does require EXACT change in the form of cash or a check. The shelter is UNABLE to accept credit or debit. So, please go prepared! That includes taking a dog collar and leash with you to the appointment in case you do decide to adopt her. Better yet, take a dog crate with you to the appointment. No animal should run freely in any vehicle. Especially an animal that you have just adopted! Safety first!
