Hi! I’m Butter Bean!

I was born in early November 2023!
HOW MUCH DO YOU WEIGH?
I’m 22 pounds and growing!
WHAT BREED ARE YOU?
Good question… I don’t really know! My mama, Mazie, is a pit bull mix. Dad didn't stick around so your guess is as good as mine!
WHAT DO YOU LOOK LIKE?
I am adorable. I am tricolored with a dark brown coat, tan eyebrows, and a tiny white snip on my nose. I have the cutest scruffy fur just on my muzzle.
WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO EAT?
I am not picky and am highly food-motivated. Right now I’m eating Chicken Soup for the Soul puppy kibble and I LOVE it!
WHAT KIND OF PERSONALITY DO YOU HAVE?
I’m a happy playful puppy that loves to cuddle when I am not running around puppying! I am a such a good companion…You will never be lonely with me around.
DESCRIBE YOUR PERFECT DAY:
My perfect day would involve lots of fun playtime, lots of snacks, and perhaps a nap or two or three… And maybe more snacks?
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TOY?
I love all kinds of toys! And I love to work on a good bone or play tug-of-war with anything and anyone that wants to tug!
DO YOU KNOW ANY TRICKS?
I am learning the basics that all good puppies know. I am very good at “sit.” And I’m working on other commands like “wait” and “down.” Since I am really motivated by treats, I am highly trainable and love to learn!
WHAT SCARES YOU?
Some loud noises are startling, but I’m a pretty brave girl for the most part.
HAVE YOU BEEN AROUND CHILDREN?
I’m still a puppy and I can be a little exuberant, but I am very gentle with my mouth.
DO YOU LIKE CATS?
There is one that lives here at my foster home, but she’s super mean so I just steer clear of her.
HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT OTHER DOGS?
Dogs are great! I live with two other dogs of all ages and sizes at my foster home.
IF YOU COULD BE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, WHERE WOULD IT BE?
My absolute favorite place is playing with my foster siblings, but I also like being with my people. So my second favorite is in your lap.
HOW IS YOUR HEALTH?
I’m in excellent health!
WHO DO YOU LIVE WITH IN YOUR FOSTER HOME AND WHO IS YOUR CLOSEST COMPANION?
I live with my foster mom and brother (19), two resident dogs and my littermate, Knox, who is also looking for his own family. Right now my closest companion is my brother. We share a kennel most of the time. However I never miss the opportunity to snuggle with the humans or play with the big dogs.
WHERE DO YOU HANG OUT WHEN YOU ARE HOME ALONE?
With my brother in our kennel.
WHERE DO YOU SLEEP?
I like to sleep in my crate. It is my own cozy space!
DO YOU LIKE WALKING ON A LEASH?
Hmm… cant’t say for sure since I am still too young to go for walks. Since I am a puppy, it will take some time and patience to teach me good manners once I am ready to explore the world. I’m looking forward to it!
DO YOU HAVE ANY “NOT SO GREAT” HABITS THAT WE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT?
I’m a really good girl, but I am still a puppy so I can get excited. I’m learning quickly though.
ARE YOU HOUSE TRAINED (DO YOU GO POTTY OUTSIDE)?
I’m getting there! I still have a few accidents but am trying hard. Patience and consistency will be key to make sure I am successful.
DO YOU LIKE WATER?
I am not sure… I don’t seem to hate it, but so far I only know water from the hose.
WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUR FOSTER FAMILY?
Everything! We play, we snuggle, I get treats, and I have a warm dry comfy place to sleep!
WHAT WAS YOUR LIFE LIKE BEFORE BEING BROUGHT INTO NORCAL BULLY BREED RESCUE?
I was approximately four or five weeks old when our whole litter of eight pups and my mama were rescued from where we had been living outside my whole life! Now we are all growing up, and everyone is getting adopted by wonderful families, which is so exciting! Will you please adopt me so I can feel what it is like to be loved by a mommy or daddy for the rest of my life?
