BUDDYC**COURTESY LISTING**3 YEAR OLD SCHNAUZER-POODLE MIX MALE**22 POUNDS

BUDDYC IS BEING FOSTERED IN THE RICHMOND VA AREA. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN BUDDYC, PLEASE GO TO WWW.MOMSVA.ORG AND COMPLETE AN APPLICATION.

Buddy came to RESCUE because his Virginia owner had cancer and not much longer to live. She wanted a rescue that would take good care of Buddy. A person close to MOMSVA recommended us and the rest is history.

Buddy’s foster home has many resident and foster Springers. Since his arrival, Buddy has been intimidated by these larger dogs. Now he is doing better with them, but still would prefer they were not around.

When he came into foster care, Buddy was overweight. With increased activity he has been steadily losing to a healthy weight and only has 4 or 5 more pounds to lose.

This little schnoodle did not receive a lot of socialization in his original home because of his owner's health and the pandemic. His foster mom has been working with him to introduce him to more and more things in his broader environment. His long-term family will need to be on board with continuing the expansion of his world.

The lack of socialization has contributed to anxiety for Buddy. He has been placed on an inexpensive anti-anxiety medication to help with that and it has really made a huge difference for him. His new family will be required to keep him on this for a minimum of 1 year after adoption to ensure that Buddy can be the best little boy he can be.

Buddy has excellent house manners and is totally housetrained and crate trained. Although he loves to cuddle and be with his people, he also has a playful and mischievous side. He likes to steal socks and play keep away with them! If no socks are available, he is happy just to play with toys.

Buddy pulls on the leash, but does much better with a harness. His foster mom believes with a little practice he will be walking like a champ. When it’s time for some car travel, Buddy is a great passenger, riding well in the car. He really enjoys the trip whether it is long or short.

When he is at the groomer, Buddy does need to be muzzled. He cooperates with the muzzle and seems to relax once it is on, though.

Need a new smaller buddy in your life? Then consider adopting Buddy! He will be a great little companion bringing you lots of happiness. Go to WWW.momsva.org and complete an application.
