Meet Bruno! This 9 year old boy is 65 pounds of sweetness ready for his forever home to spend his days being the mellow easy-going guy he’s known to be. His dream golden years will be filled with daily walks, scratches, lying next to his human, and maybe some fetch if the day calls for it.

Bruno is incredibly well-trained, having no issues left home unattended. Although he prefers to free roam, he willingly goes into his crate by himself without ever even having to lock the door. He’s also good with other dogs but can be a bit timid when making a new friend. Although he hasn’t spent much time with kids or cats in his foster home, he has been known to spend time around them previously with ease from what we know of his prior living situation.

All around, Bruno is a calm, incredibly easy dog that loves the simple things in life like getting scratches, being around his people, often moving closer and closer until he may be on you, acting like the lap dog he thinks he is. He believes he is a small dog that can fit everywhere, and will try even if he adorably fails. He becomes instant friends with any new human he meets and will nudge new guests for scratches as a sign of affection. He is the happiest of dogs with a heart of gold.

Bruno is an amazing dog that will make anyone smile with funny quirks like strictly not taking treats on walks or out and about. He isn’t a fan of dry food but his foster is currently working on identifying what may be causing this. Although slightly timid when first adjusting to his foster home, Bruno quickly fit in perfectly with no issues besides figuring out his food favorites.

Bruno would likely adjust well to a home with shared walls, as long as he gets his time outside and is given the freedom to roam when you’re out. He’d also be perfectly happy without a fenced in yard as he responds well to being called and isn’t looking to go anywhere you’re not, as the video above shows. The adoption fee is $250. Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, heartworm/Lyme test, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and Bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchip implant (including registration). Adoption fees INCLUDE a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. Due to post-adoption services provided, we prefer to adopt within a 150-mile radius of the Twin Cities. However, we will consider up to 250 miles if the foster agrees to travel requirements and staff approval.
