Meet Bruce

NOTE: All adoptions are only in the greater Houston, TX area.

Please Note: WE ARE NOT A SHELTER- ALL DANES ARE IN FOSTER HOMES

MEET BRUCE! A very kind GDRST volunteer found these two pibbles dumped in a retentian pond and were left to drown. The volunteer and son pulled them out of the muddy rain filled retention pond and brought them home. In the 3 days they have been with the volunteer they have done amazing. They have blended well with her 4 great danes, did exceptionally well at the vet office for blood work and vaccines, loves to walk, did very well meeting folks at home depot and loves to greet the kiddos when they get off the bus.

We believe they were a breeding pair and dumped when they were no longer useful. We also believe the female (Pumpkin) has recently had puppies. They are fully vaccinated, heartworm negative, and once they have the routine down they are housebroken. They were not microchipped when found and we have posted many fliers and electronic posts looking for an owner with no leads.

We are all amazed at how well balanced they are and how loving they are. We are needing a home who can take both of these beautiful dogs. They don't jump up or act silly. They did exceptionally well at the dog park and will need an energy outlet. They are not destructive. We have fallen in love with P&B and only want the best for them.

Please consider fostering or adopting these two beautiful souls. They need you!

ADOPTION CONTRIBUTION FEE: $100.00

In many cases, the cost of vetting services is greater than the adoption contribution. The adoption contributions help defray the costs of vetting services, but rarely, if ever, cover all expenses. Additional donations are welcomed and appreciated. Please consider making a donation to help offset medical expenses.
To do so, please visit our website at www.saveadane.org

GDRST will have the following services completed as part of the adoption process. Each animal will be spayed or neutered, fully vaccinated, heartworm tested, heartworm treated if applicable, fecal tested, de-wormed, microhcipped, and administered heartgard.

Please note GDRST is an all-volunteer, run by individuals with full time careers. In order to meet with a Dane that you are interested in,you will need to complete an application. After receiving your application, a volunteer will verify with your vet the care on your current or previous animals and then contact you to set up a home eval and to discuss which Dane may be a match for you.
