Update from foster mom (4-24-24) - Brandy is settling in nicely and I thought it was time for an update. This sweet girl has been a true pleasure to foster. Although she may be shy at first, she warms up quickly and loves to cuddle. Belly and chin rubs are her favorite – she puts her paw up like a high five as if to say “please don’t stop”. She likes chew toys – so far, raw carrots and a Kong toy with a good treat inside have been winners. She walks incredibly well on the leash. I do not have a fenced in yard and we were having some difficulty with potty training. It didn't take me long to figure out that she is distracted by the leash. I tried taking her out on a retractable leash and ... pow...just like magic we have not had any "accidents" in several days. So a yard with a fence would probably be best in her case. She likes to take rides with me for running errands especially when that trip involves a stop at the park for a walk. She wanders my house unsupervised with no issues – she can usually be found on the sofa, bed or looking out the front door. Sometimes she will take a break in her crate as well. I have yet to hear her bark. She is just an overall sweet pup who will be an amazing addition to any family. Apply for her today!

This sweet girl is Brandy. She was recently rescued from a high kill shelter and will be in need of a foster or a "forever' home on Sunday, April 7th. Brandy is about a year of age and she weighs 44 lbs. She is a Bully breed mix but resembles a Bulldog of some sort more than a Pit Bull. She is a very lovable, friendly girl who gets along very well with other dogs. She did very well with her cat test at the sending shelter. She was actually leary of them and rathered to stay away. Brandy has some energy and she loves to play with other dogs. She has already been spayed and she recently tested negative for heartworm disease. She is up-to-date with vaccinations and she is also microchipped.
