Boomer Mixed Breed Soddy Daisy, TN

Boomer is ready to find his forever family. He is being fostered in Soddy Daisy, TN.
Boomer is a 4 year old Australian Shepherd who weighs 55 lbs and is mostly blind. Although he is blind, Boomer is able to live a very normal life. He doesn't have trouble getting around and knows his surroundings very well. One would really never know he's blind. He can see us and knows where we are up to about 5 ft out. He follows our voice and can sense where we are if it's a little further.

Due to his blindness, Boomer has an initial fear of meeting new people and it takes him a few minutes to warm up. Once he warms up, he is the biggest love bug and your friend for life. He seems to do better off leash than on, when meeting. Boomer is very eager to please and is a very loving and loyal companion. He gets along great with other dogs and is fine with cats. He is housebroken, crate trained and walks well on the leash and rides great as well.

Boomer needs a patient and understanding adopter. Someone who understands that his initial fear is only temporary and that once he knows you, he is totally fine. He enjoys being outdoors and will hang out and watch the birds and squirrels but will come in and want to be right by your side. He will find his favorite place to relax and be content there as well. He is a very smart and loving boy. He is so deserving of a family of his own!

Boomer is neutered, current on all vaccinations, microchipped and on heartworm prevention.
