Bonkers American Staffordshire Terrier Millbrae, CA

Bonkers is a 1.5-year-old, 60lb cutie pie. He is looking for a new home, due to his current owner being too young to care for him properly. He is currently living with a 10-year-old German Shepherd who has not exactly welcomed Bonkers but has tolerated him. Bonkers is extremely loving. He is happiest when he can lay with someone. He is a ball chaser and loves other dogs. Bonker's first home had a cat with whom he got along great with. I can't guarantee he would still love a cat but he has never shown any aggression towards cats in the neighborhood when he is out on walks. He loves the dog park and is always extremely submissive with other dogs, even the little ones. He walks pretty well on a leash and would be an amazing running companion. He is smart, knows basic commands, and has a good foundation on his recall but this still needs to be worked on. He loves bones and whole carrots! He would blend well into a home with other dogs. He has been around all our grandchildren ages 2-10 years old from the time he lived with my daughter who has two children. Bonkers can get very hyper very quickly. When we play with him, we only allow him to play fetch. We never allow anyone to play rough with him, play tug of war, or get him overly stimulated.
