Meet Bogart

If you are interested in any of the dogs available at New Leash Rescue, you can reach out to the foster listed below for more information and then complete an adoption application which can be found at https://www.newleashrescue.org/adopt/policy. Please email the completed application to newleashrescue2018@gmail.com

Bogart is estimated to be around 1-2 years old. He was an unclaimed stray in Minnesota.

He is has the typical bull terrier sass and spunk. He is very active and likes to play with other dogs. Bogart has a rough play style and does not always heed the warnings and signals from other dogs. He is not recommended to be with small dogs or cats.

Bull terriers can be a bit on the stubborn side for training, and he needs a family who understands this and is willing to be consistent. He is doing well on his housetraining and crate training.

Preference to applications with prior Bull Terrier experience and a fenced in yard.

Email to contact: newleashrescue2018@gmail.com

Bogart will be at the Cottage Grove Petsmart on Saturday May 4th from 11-2pm and the Forest Lake PetSmart on May 11th from 11-2pm.
Applications prior to any adoption event are encouraged to speed up the process.

Adoption fee $500 + tax (no checks)

Bogart is neutered, current on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped fecal tested, dewormed, and started on preventatives.

Our fosters do the best they can to provide all information about the animal's background and temperament while in foster care in their home. An adopters routine and home environment is likely going to be different than that in their foster home.

Sometimes there is more that comes out about a dog's personality once they have been able to settle in a home and truly become comfortable. There are great articles out there written about the different stages a pet goes through after adoption, discussing transitions that happen at 3 days, 3 weeks, and 3 months. We highly recommend reading about this - it will help you understand the transition your new pet goes through.
